JOB TITLE

  • Project Management Team Lead

HOW TO APPLY

  • Please submit a resume and cover letter to careers@storylinestrategies.com

THE OPPORTUNITY & ROLE

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading the end-to-end execution of qualitative, quantitative, and consulting projects, from pitching and scoping engagements, to fieldwork, quality control, analysis, and deliverable development across multiple client projects simultaneously.

At Storyline Strategies, our projects are as complex as they are fast-paced. Our project managers are mission-critical, cross-functional problem-solvers who think strategically and drive progress collaboratively. If you have a gift for efficiency and are motivated by delivering effective results, you’ll be both challenged and fulfilled by this role.

You’ll report to the Chief of Staff, seamlessly coordinating and communicating with internal teams, external partners and vendors, and client teams across regions and timezones.

We’re looking for a Senior Project Manager with meticulous attention to detail, the ability to prioritize and multitask, excellent written and verbal communication skills, and a genuine passion for creative problem solving, process optimization, client management, and storytelling. You’ll have upwards of 4 years of experience in agency-side project and resource management.

Orchestrating vital processes, and ensuring progress, are central to the role. But above all, it’s about forging and cultivating relationships — ensuring clients are understood, up to speed, and getting what they need (or more) when they need it (or before). And it’s about relationships with your colleagues. Not only will you be a critical part of a gifted and dynamic team — you’ll be at the epicenter, powering and elevating everything we do.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Develop and maintain client-facing and internal project timelines and project plans that enable the successful execution of custom projects across all aspects of Storyline’s services and products, including proposal development and pricing, resource planning, research design, recruiting, fieldwork, moderation, analysis, reporting, and storytelling.
  • Serve as the primary client point of contact for all timeline, logistical, and resources-related project components; ensuring project expectations are clearly communicated and established.
  • Ensure all deliverables and client-facing materials meet Storyline Strategies quality standards through in-depth reviews and proofing.
  • Coordinate with other Storyline project managers and internal teams to monitor, manage, and maximize team member utilization to ensure we exceed client expectations while delivering on our financial objectives.
  • Partner with other project managers and cross-functional teams to continuously identify opportunities for process and project improvement.
  • Lead and champion the deployment and use of project and process management resources, tools, and protocols, including project management and timeline tools, and project collaboration and communication tools.
  • Serve as process and project management thought partner for Storyline’s broader operational functions and organizational objectives.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

  • B.A. and/or M.A. in a field with strong research or business emphasis
  • Strong understanding of research principles
  • Familiarity with Google Apps / G Suite
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours
  • Experience collaborating with team members in a high-throughput, deadline-driven, process-oriented, client-services environment
  • Superior writing, logic, and interaction skills, including oral and organizational skills
  • Experience managing global projects with multiple client stakeholders, internal teams, and external partners
  • Mastery of project management principles, capabilities, and software tools
  • Experience analyzing results and/or communicating research results to stakeholders a plus
