Storyline: Who We Are

We create research-driven narratives that transform. Harnessing unparalleled creativity and uncompromising precision, we provide storytelling research, insights, and strategy for the most influential and ascendant companies in tech, entertainment, non-profit, and public policy.

From messaging architectures to brand platforms, from policy to product, our team of strategy, messaging, design, and research experts hone communications insights to craft stories that help our clients confidently tell their own.

At the heart of our organization is our mission to be an indispensable strategic partner with diverse, innovative, and global capabilities. We’re seeking a Senior Recruiter and Audience Advisor to join us in continuously raising the bar to do just that.

The Opportunity & Role

As Senior Recruiter and Audience Advisor, you are at the forefront of connecting us with the precise voices needed for our qualitative research. Your expertise will lie in pioneering connections and engaging highly specialized and often hard-to-reach audiences—policymakers, former government officials, issue experts, online content creators, B2B decision-makers, and C-suite executives.

You will also lead our vendor and fieldwork operations, serving as the primary liaison for recruiting partners and facilities. You will architect and execute sophisticated outreach strategies, managing the full lifecycle from sourcing to scheduling and logistics. You’ll take an exacting approach to cultivating the right audience, enhancing our proprietary research panel and expert network, and ensuring rigorous quality assurance across all channels.

What You’ll Do

  • Strategic Sourcing & Proactive Engagement: Lead dynamic direct sourcing initiatives, artfully employing a multi-channel approach including sophisticated LinkedIn strategies, professional network navigation, industry association engagement, and targeted outreach.
  • Vendor & Facility Management: Serve as the day-to-day liaison to recruiting vendors and facilities; set expectations, track progress, and enforce quality standards and SLAs to ensure seamless delivery.
  • Fieldwork Logistics: Coordinate end-to-end fieldwork logistics across time zones: scheduling, confirmations, tech checks, incentives, reschedules, and contingency plans.
  • Participant Identification & Insightful Screening: Identify, meticulously screen, and interview potential research participants to ensure they meet stringent criteria and possess the authentic voice needed for our research.
  • Screener & Profile Development Leadership: Lead the development of participant profiles and screening instruments, translating complex client needs into effective criteria, in collaboration with research teams.
  • Panel Contribution & Quality Enhancement: Identify and recruit high-value, specialized individuals for active projects, channeling suitable candidates into our proprietary research panel and expert network.
  • Quality Assurance: Meticulously track participant information and implement QA protocols for screener logic, respondent validation, and fraud detection.
  • Relationship Architecture: Cultivate and maintain relationships with participants during the sourcing, screening, and qualification phase for active projects.
  • Market Intelligence & Tool Mastery: Stay ahead of emerging best practices in sourcing and recruiting, leveraging new channels, sales enablement tools (e.g., Clay, Apollo.io), and AI-driven workflows.

What You’ll Need

  • B.A. and/or M.A. in a relevant field (e.g., Communications, Marketing, Social Sciences, Business).
  • 3-5+ years of direct recruiting, talent sourcing, or fieldwork operations experience, with a strong emphasis on finding and engaging specialized or hard-to-reach individuals (e.g., policymakers, C-suite).
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and coordinating logistics with external recruiting partners and facilities.
  • Demonstrated success in proactive outreach and a natural ability to engage potential participants and build relationships through various channels.
  • Proven expertise using advanced sourcing techniques, including mastery of LinkedIn Recruiter/Sales Navigator.
  • Experience with sales enablement, contact enrichment tools (e.g., Clay, Apollo.io, ZoomInfo), and email automation platforms.
  • Strong understanding of qualitative research principles and the importance of participant authenticity.
  • Excellent interviewing and assessment skills, with the ability to discern nuanced qualifications and build immediate rapport.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple sourcing projects concurrently in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Self-motivated and resourceful, with a tenacious and creative approach to connecting with the right people.
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace tools; experience with project management tools (e.g., Asana, Notion, Airtable) and research panel management software.
  • Ability to work outside of traditional business hours to connect with global participants when necessary.
